Question
I've heard it's a nice place to work and pay is descent - I'm a Home Health Aid now (mostly work with people of all ages who have been in bad car accidents). I've heard that I don't need to have cna certification- I have all the training and several year experience in the health field. Any information about Assisted Living would be nice.
Answer
The employees in assisted living usually cook, clean and deliver meals they do not have caregivers--I was a caregiver for years and worked for many patients on Hospice--assisted living just is a place that provides meals and a roof, the tv and furniture and size of apt. are up to what you can afford. You will need current CPR and First Aid and an unlicensed medicine asst. cert. The med cert is good for life the other two expire in 2 years. Look into working in a group home!!
